Packet Data

Packet Data Charging offers flexible charging options for both Online and Offline modes in both Fixed and Mobile networks. The service supports charging for packet data usage in both the home network and national/international roaming scenarios for mobile packet data.

Key features of the Packet Data Charging service include:

  1. Online and Offline Charging Modes: In Online mode, packet data usage is charged using Session Charging with Unit Reservation (SCUR), ensuring real-time charging and accurate deduction of packet data units from the subscriber’s balance. In Offline mode, packet data usage is charged using Immediate Event Charging (IEC). Offline mode is handy when real-time charging is not feasible or necessary, such as when there is limited network connectivity.

  2. Support for Fixed and Mobile Networks: The service supports charging for packet data usage in both fixed and mobile networks, providing comprehensive coverage for various network types and usage scenarios.

  3. Aggregation of Single Records: Packet Data Charging supports the aggregation of single records based on various criteria, such as session duration, time, data size, and more. This enables the consolidation of multiple data records into a single record, allowing for simplified charging and more efficient processing of packet data usage.
