Charge Override

The Charge Override functionality in the OCS.io allows for modifying calculated charges for specific events or scenarios. This feature enables service providers to customize and adjust charges based on their specific business requirements.

Key features of the Charge Override functionality include:

  1. Customizable Charge Modifications: Service providers can define specific conditions that trigger the charge override, such as destination country, event type, or customer segment. This allows for tailored charge adjustments based on various criteria.

  2. Flexible Configuration: The Charge Override can be configured at different levels, including Subscription, Subscriber, Account, or Customer. This flexibility ensures that the override can be applied precisely where needed.

  3. Scenario-Based Adjustments: For example, if the standard charge for sending an SMS to Germany is 0.60 EUR, but a promotional campaign requires a reduced rate of 0.30 EUR, the Charge Override functionality can be used to apply this reduced rate for all SMS messages to Germany.

  4. Real-Time Processing: When the OCS.io processes events, it checks for any charge overrides based on the defined conditions. If a Charge Override is found, the system applies the modified charge instead of the standard charge, ensuring real-time adjustments.
