Telco
This section provides a comprehensive overview of Telco services designed to cater to the diverse needs of telecommunications operators. These services encompass various aspects of voice, messaging, data, VPN, and network management, empowering operators to deliver efficient and reliable communication services to their subscribers. Let’s explore some essential Telco services:
Voice: The Voice service supports both online and offline modes, ensuring seamless connectivity for subscribers. Operators can assign different Charging classes for specific types of voice usage, such as MO, MT, and CF, when both A# and B# are in a VPN. This bi-directional assignment ensures accurate charging for usage between A# and B#. The configuration options for B# analysis include Exact match, Best match, or Regular expression, providing flexible matching criteria for VPN members. To facilitate VPN management, the service provides an API that allows for adding and removing members, with the ability to specify whether a member is Active (A#) or Passive (B#).
SMS: The SMS service supports both online and offline charging modes for SMS usage. Operators can assign different Charging classes based on specific criteria when both A# and B# are in a VPN. This enables accurate charging for SMS usage between A# and B#. The configuration options for B# analysis include Exact match, Best match, or Regular expression, providing flexibility in matching criteria for VPN members. The service requires activation on each subscriber within the VPN group. An API is available for VPN management, allowing for adding and removing members.
MMS: The MMS service caters to multimedia messaging requirements and supports both online and offline charging modes. Operators can assign different Charging classes for MMS usage when both A# and B# are in a VPN. This ensures accurate charging for MMS usage between A# and B#. The configuration options for B# analysis include Exact match, Best match, or Regular expression, providing flexibility in matching criteria for VPN members. Activation of the service is required for each subscriber within the VPN group. An API is available for VPN management, enabling the addition and removal of members.
Friends & Family: The Friends & Family service allows for the assignment of different Charging classes for specific types of usage, such as voice and messaging, when the called party (B#) is listed as a member in the subscriber’s Friends & Family list. This assignment is bi-directional, meaning that the different Charging class is applied when the subscriber initiates usage to the B# or vice versa. The service is compatible with voice, SMS, and MMS. Configuration options for B# analysis include Exact match, Best match, or Regular expression, providing flexible matching criteria. An API is available for managing Friends & Family members, allowing for easy addition and removal of members.
Packet Data: The Packet Data service supports both online and offline charging modes for both fixed and mobile networks. Operators can charge for packet data usage in both home network and national/international roaming scenarios. In online mode, usage is charged as ECUR or IEC, while in offline mode, it is charged as IEC. The service supports aggregating single records based on session, time, size, and other criteria, facilitating efficient charging for packet data usage.
VPN: The VPN service allows operators to create and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for their subscribers. Subscribers within the same VPN can benefit from special charging class assignments and customized service configurations. The VPN management API enables easy addition and removal of VPN members and the ability to designate members as Active (A#) or Passive (B#) for accurate charging.
